The ACA Litter Registration form is used to register a litter of puppies with the American Canine Association. It allows breeders to officially document the details of the puppies, including their breed, whelping date, and parentage. This registration is important for maintaining accurate records and pedigree information.
You will need to provide the following information:
-
Breed of pups whelped
-
Whelping date of the litter
-
Sire’s registered name and number
-
Dam’s registered name and number
-
Mating date of the litter
-
Number of males and females in the litter
-
Owner names of both the sire and dam
-
Your contact information, including address, phone number, and email
Additionally, if the sire or dam is registered with another association, you must attach a photocopy of their non-ACA registration certificate and a three-generation pedigree.
What are the fees associated with the registration?
The registration fee for the litter is $18.00. If you wish to register a non-ACA registered dog with ACA, there is an additional fee of $17.00. If you opt for a three-generation pedigree, that will cost an extra $15.00. For express delivery, a fee of $21.00 applies within the continental U.S.
Once you have filled out the form and gathered all required documents, you can mail it to the American Canine Association at the following address:

You may also submit payment via check, money order, or credit card. If you choose to pay by check, be aware that it will be converted into an electronic funds transfer.
What if I find an error on my registration document?
If you discover an error on your registration document, it is important to report it to ACA within 90 days of receipt. You should return the faulty document with the error circled. After 90 days, any corrections requested will incur a reissue fee.
Can I register a litter if the sire or dam is registered with another association?
Yes, you can register a litter if the sire or dam is registered with another association. However, you must include a photocopy of the non-ACA registration certificate and a three-generation pedigree with your application. This ensures that ACA can properly recognize and register the litter.
